About Me
I earned a diploma in Financial Accounting and Accounting Management and worked as an accountant for a major corporate company. I knew that my brain was certainly not ready for retirement. I started tutoring in 2017 in the Northern Suburbs with great success. During Covid I continued tutoring via Zoom. Now living in the Southern Suburbs, I continue to tutor and offer my students a concept of learning about accounting not only from a text book but from an accountant who has worked in the accounting industry for many years.
I enjoy helping students to achieve better marks in a subject that I am passionate about. I am committed to their success in accounting. Besides during the tutoring session, I am available to my students on Whatsapp so that they can ask questions when studying and doing homework.

Grade 8 and 9
ECONOMIC AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES – This subject teaches a student the basics of accounting – understanding these basics is especially important if a student intends studying accounting as a subject from grade 10 to 12. If, however they are not going to study accounting, the accounting part of EMS is often confusing to students and I can help them to get a better understanding and achieve good marks.
Grade 10
THE STUDENT HAS CHOSEN ACCOUNTING AS A SUBJECT FOR GRADE 10 – and realizes that they have forgotten the basics – at this point a tutor is very important as grade 10 accounting will not start with a lot of basic accounting teaching. A few tutoring sessions might be all it takes to refresh the memory on the basics and this makes the subject of accounting less daunting
Grade 11
In Grade 10 the student would have learnt all accounting practices for a one-man business and in Grade 11 start learning about accounting practices for partnerships. And …on no!!! How do we understand all the ratio’s and interpretations!!! Suddenly they start panicking a bit – let me take the panic away and restore the confidence to once again enjoy the subject – and grade 11 exam results are so important for university entrance that some assistance from your tutor can only be beneficial.
Grade 12
Understanding accounting practices for companies and suddenly it looks so scary to just even read through the contents of the text book. As an accountant let me help the student to understand the business world and the entries for buy and selling shares and everything that needs to be understood. And once again there are those ratio’s and interpretations. Many students lose valuable marks by not understanding these – a tutor that understands them is very important to the student. Having actually worked in the industry can help a student so much to achieve better marks.
First Year University Students
Many students choose to study in a direction which does not require them having passed accounting in Grade 12 but the direction in which they are studying at university requires accounting for the first year. This can be very daunting as they have never studied accounting as a subject in high school and this makes the first year of university very stressful. This is where a tutor can assist.
